Camping, Diving, and a First Night Dive
We spent the weekend doing what we love—camping, diving, and just slowing things down. Camryn and I loaded up the Jeep, set up the rooftop tent, and settled in for a couple of days at the quarry. It was the kind of weekend that reminds you why you do all this in the first place.
The weather held out, visibility was solid, and we got in a bunch of dives. I wrapped up the last bits of my Dive Master training—not a big deal, just another step to keep learning and helping out more underwater. Most of the time was spent doing skills runs, assisting, and getting some real experience working with other divers.
Camryn knocked out her Nitrox class and even did her first night dive. That was probably the highlight—watching her drop below the surface after dark, lights on, staying calm and curious the whole time. She handled it like she’d done it before.
Back at camp, we kept it simple. Tacos over the stove, chill time under the stars, and just enjoying being outside. We met a few new divers, shared some stories, and appreciated how the diving community always finds a way to feel like home.
No pressure, no timelines—just a weekend to dive, reconnect, and keep pushing forward in small ways. Wouldn’t trade it for anything.
