Trying Something New for My Knees — My QC Kinetix Experience
My knees have been giving me hell off and on for a few years now. Decades of sports and working construction will do that. Lately, it felt like something more than the usual wear and tear — sharp pain, occasional locking up, and just that nagging something’s not right feeling. I figured it might be a meniscus tear.
So I booked a consultation with QC Kinetix, hoping for a solution that didn’t involve surgery or heavy meds.
The Consultation
The team at QC Kinetix listened closely. Based on my symptoms and a physical evaluation, we came to the same conclusion: likely a meniscus tear.
They offered a five-visit regenerative medicine protocol, and I decided to move forward right then and there. I was tired of limping around and ready to try something different.
First Treatment: Blood Draw, Laser, and Injections
The treatment started immediately. First, they drew some blood to extract platelets for injection. Then came something new to me — a Class IV laser treatment on both knees. It created a warm, buzzing sensation and is supposed to increase blood flow and promote healing.
Then came the injections.
Let me be honest — they hurt like hell. Deep, pressurized pain. For a moment, I seriously questioned whether I made the right call.
But within a few minutes of standing up… something changed.
I walked out to the front desk with about 75% less pain than I had coming in. The pain I did feel wasn’t the grinding, tearing kind — it was just soreness from the injection itself. And that felt like progress.
What’s Next
My next appointment is in a couple of weeks. They’ll be using a protease inhibitor, which is designed to break down damaged cartilage and soft tissue — basically, to smooth out the rough edges inside the joint.
I’m cautiously optimistic. If round one made that much of a difference, I’m excited to see where this leads.
If you’re dealing with chronic knee pain, I’ll keep documenting my journey with QC Kinetix. It’s not a magic wand, but so far… it’s giving me real hope.
